I heart reading. I learned to be a better person through reading. I believe reading is part of the reason I am the person today. Through life experiences and reading I have gained strength, courage, compassion and have dared to dream that I could be the person I want. Here are some of my favourite poems about reading which I got from author unknown.

Hidup memerlukan pengorbanan. Pengorbanan memerlukan perjuangan. Perjuangan memerlukan ketabahan. Ketabahan memerlukan keyakinan. Keyakinan pula menentukan kejayaan. Kejayaan pula akan berkesudahan dengan kebahagiaan.  Kesudahan kita tidak akan pernah nmpak, kerana segalanya ditentukan Allah, kita hanya mampu berusaha. Tidak salah jika kita berani mencuba. "Manusia yang tidak berharap untuk menang telah sedia kalah"  dan "Kita mesti pastikan hari ini adalah milik kita kerana kita belum pasti adakah hari esok kita masih diberi peluang apatah lagi utk mendapat kesudahan yg baik"

Face to Face with Reality

Like countless millions before you, you must have asked yourself such questions as : Who I am? Where do I come from? How did the world and universe come into being? What am I doing in this world? Can I do what I want to, how I want to, when I want to? Where do I go from here, from this seemingly earth-bound existence? Where do we all go from here?

These questions about life and about the meaning and purpose of life. These are questions about the universe and our place in it. Don't be so lame Hanan. You have got many big reasons to look up when you are in trouble. You have to be grateful and think again and again why Allah chose you to be in this world. He knows that you are strong enough to face all these trials. So face it with smile and InsyaAllah you will get a reward if you sincere.

How beautiful are you?

Have you ever heard?

"I can never have something to do with that girl! Men, have you been to her house? It’s so dirty"

"Gosh! That girl smells rotten, she is so dirty!"

"Wow! This kitchen is so neat"

"She got very beautiful face! how come she's being so dirty?"

Kebersihan dan kecantikan saling berkait rapat. Bagi aku tiada gunanya  kelihatan cantik dan pakai wangi-wangian, make-up tebal seinci dan pakai lawa-lawa tetapi tidak tahu menjaga kebersihan terutama sekali kebersihan diri dan persekitarannya. Kalau nak tahu dia seorang yang pembersih atau tidak, lihatlah pada bilik atau tempat tidurnya. 

Allah swt memang sukakan kecantikan dan kebersihan. Wajah yang cantik itu bonus. Bagi aku, biarlah mereka yang mempunyai wajah yang biasa-biasa tetapi jika mereka menitik-beratkan soal kebersihan, mempunyai ilmu yang tinggi dan akhlak yang baik, secara tak langsung mereka akan kelihatan cantik.

 "Tidak semestinya yang cantik itu bersih dan semestinya yang bersih itu cantik"

So kesimpulannya jagalah kebersihan diri ye. Okay nak sambung taip soalan peperiksaan Ummi

Advice

"Nasihat timbul atas rasa sukakan kebaikan dan kasih sayang terhadap seseorang. Elakkan nasihat-nasihat yang bertujuan memarahi dan memalukannya atau menunjukkan kepandaian diri. Nasihat yang baik adalah satu doa untuk kebaikan terhadap sahabat..."

Father and Daughter

A liltle girl and her father were crossing a bridge

The father was kind of scared so he asked her daughter :

"Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river"

The liltle girl said, "No dad, you hold my hands"

"What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father 

"There's a big difference", replied the liltle girl

"...If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens,  you will never let my hand go...".

Things you can do to please Allah

 بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Learn some Qur'an

 Respect your Parents, teachers and elders

Do your prayers on time and try and perfect them

 Read stories of the Prophet (saws) and His Companions

 Learn some of the names of Allah, each day

 Ask Allah for forgiveness

 Do your homework neatly

 Make Mum and Dad a cup of tea

 Be friendly to everyone you meet

 Try learning and understanding the Hadeeth of the Prophet (saw)

 Treat others the way you want others to treat you

-Allah loves those who are always trying to please Him - so keep trying and when you make a mistake always turn to Him and ask Him to forgive you-

Words and Actions Should Be the Same

 بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

It’s a warm sunny day at the park and we had a picnic near the Balok Beach. While putting rice onto the plate, ummi starting her story about there once was a boy who loved eating sweets. He always asked for sweets from his father. His father was a poor man. He could not always afford sweets for his son. But the little boy did not understand this, and demanded sweets all the time.

The boy's father thought hard about how to stop the child asking for so many sweets. There was a very holy man living nearby at that time. The boy's father had an idea. He decided to take the boy to the great man who might be able to persuade the child to stop asking for sweets all the time.

The boy and his father went along to the great man. The father said to him, "O great saint, could you ask my son to stop asking for sweets which I cannot afford?" The great man was in difficulty, because he liked sweets himself. How could he ask the boy to give up asking for sweets? The holy man told the father to bring his son back after one month.

During that month, the holy man gave up eating sweets, and when the boy and his father returned after a month, the holy man said to the boy "My dear child, will you stop asking for sweets which your father cannot afford to give you?"

From then on, the boy stopped asking for sweets.

The boy's father asked the saint, "Why did you not ask my son to give up asking for sweets when we came to you a month ago?" The saint replied, "How could I ask a boy to give up sweets when I loved sweets myself. In the last month I gave up eating sweets."

I asked ummi, where did you find this story? She said, she used to story to her student at the kindergarden about 10 years ago. So the moral of this story is a person's example is much more powerful than just his words. When we ask someone to do something, we must do it ourselves also. We should not ask others to do what we do not do ourselves.
