Words and Actions Should Be the Same

It’s a warm sunny day at the park and we had a picnic near the Balok Beach. While putting rice onto the plate, ummi starting her story about there once was a boy who loved eating sweets. He always asked for sweets from his father. His father was a poor man. He could not always afford sweets for his son. But the little boy did not understand this, and demanded sweets all the time.

The boy's father thought hard about how to stop the child asking for so many sweets. There was a very holy man living nearby at that time. The boy's father had an idea. He decided to take the boy to the great man who might be able to persuade the child to stop asking for sweets all the time.

The boy and his father went along to the great man. The father said to him, "O great saint, could you ask my son to stop asking for sweets which I cannot afford?" The great man was in difficulty, because he liked sweets himself. How could he ask the boy to give up asking for sweets? The holy man told the father to bring his son back after one month.

During that month, the holy man gave up eating sweets, and when the boy and his father returned after a month, the holy man said to the boy "My dear child, will you stop asking for sweets which your father cannot afford to give you?"

From then on, the boy stopped asking for sweets.

The boy's father asked the saint, "Why did you not ask my son to give up asking for sweets when we came to you a month ago?" The saint replied, "How could I ask a boy to give up sweets when I loved sweets myself. In the last month I gave up eating sweets."

I asked ummi, where did you find this story? She said, she used to story to her student at the kindergarden about 10 years ago. So the moral of this story is a person's example is much more powerful than just his words. When we ask someone to do something, we must do it ourselves also. We should not ask others to do what we do not do ourselves.

-ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ACTIONS AND YOUR WORDS ARE THE SAME-

Happiness comes from the Rememberance of Allah not the Prom

The Prom and Happiness
Happiness! Ah what a wonderful term, wouldn't all of us like to have that? I think it's the only thing that we need in life. How can we achieve happiness in the life hereafter after as well as in this life? Most people think, 'okay sure suffer all this life to get a reward of which we are not sure we will get as we are never good enough for Allah'. But I intend to prove that you do the get the rewards of obedience in this world and that you can get happiness even in the most direst of circumstances.

Luxury Enjoyments (proms/parties/other enjoyments)
If you are really going to the prom because it's the last time you're going to meet your classmates, then invite your closest friends to your home and have a social gathering and no one has to wear tight and uncomfortable clothing or have to show their cleavage. You can have a friendly chat. I am sure you'll treasure the memory of being with your closest friends more than being with people you never really got to know. Isn't this true happiness?

So Then What is True Happiness?
True happiness lies in being satisfied with what you have, to be contented. What's the one way to always be happy? It is THANKFULNESS. Allah just didn't create thankfulness to make our lives boring. He made it to make us happy, He cares for us. The question one must ask himself/herself is 'what do I get from being thankful?' Why does a walk in the park make you feel happy? Its because you think about nature and the good things in life and hence you think about Allah (remembrance). This is the reason why all of the religious people spend all of their time in remembrance, in Zikr, because just like you and me they want to be happy in this life as well as the life Hereafter.

Can a prom really bring you that happiness?
There you go. I have proven to you how to attain happiness in this world, through Zikr, as well as in the hereafter. I hope I have convinced most of our young Muslim readers from not going to the prom and have changed the thinking of those who did go to the prom. Even if one person changed his/her mind then I feel my work is done, for curing people of their problems makes me a happy person.

Telling the truth

I have read some article and here I am about to share with you about telling the truth is a very good habit. If you always speak the truth, you can save yourself from a lot of trouble. Here is a story of a man who did a lot of bad things, but his promise to tell the truth saved him.

Once a man came to the prophet Muhammad s.a.w and said, "Oh prophet of Allah, I have many bad habits. Which one of them should I give up first?" The prophet said, "Give up telling lies first and always speak the truth." The man promised to do so and went home.

At night the man was about to go out to steal. Before setting out, he thought for a moment about the promise he made with the prophet. "If tomorrow the prophet asks me where have I been, what shall I say? Shall I say that I went out stealing? No, I cannot say that. But nor can I lie. If I tell the truth, everyone will start hating me and call me a thief. I would be punished for stealing."

So the man decided not to steal that night, and gave up this bad habit.

Next day, he felt like drinking wine, when he was about to do so, he said to himself, "What shall I say to the prophet if he asks me what did I do during the day? I cannot tell a lie, and if I speak the truth people will hate me, because a Muslim is not allowed to drink wine." And so he gave up the idea of drinking wine.

In this way, whenever the man thought of doing something bad, he remembered his promise to tell the truth at all times. One by one, he gave up all his bad habits and became a good Muslim and a very good person.

If you always speak the truth, you can be a good person, a good Muslim whom Allah likes and favors. If Allah - our Creator - is pleased with us, He will reward us with HEAVEN, which is a place of happiness and joy.

I hate these feelings

These are feelings that I don't want to feel.
Please Allah help me to be strong,
As I know feeling like this is wrong.
You know the pain and anger that I feel in my heart,
Please take it away, make it depart.
I'm so tired and weary Dear Lord,
These feelings I cannot afford.
I want to feel alive, I want to feel free,
I want to be the best Muslim that I can be.
Please take this pain, throw it away,
I need to prostrate to You and pray.
Please Allah forgive my anger,
These feelings are from Shaitan- I'm in danger!
Please calm my heart, calm my mind,
Let me feel the peace that I yearn to find.
Thank You Allah for hearing me out,
Thank You Allah for allowing me to take the right route.

Menyingkap Dahsyatnya Doa

Tuhanmu berkata,"Berdoalah kepadaku, nescaya aku perkenankan bagimu"
(Surah al-Mukminun ayat 60)

Hadis berikut menjelaskan~

"Doa itu adalah otak ibadah"
(Imam Tirmizi)

Wahai saudara sekalian, berdoa menunjukkan jati diri. Wahai saudaraku, as i said just now, Allah bergantung pada sangkaan hamba kepadaNya.

Laa Taghdhob Dan Bagimu Syurga

Kita bisa meraih syurga
hanya dengan menahan marah

Jangan marah, Jangan marah, Jangan marah

Ya! Hanya dengan menahan marah

Saudaraku, sukarkah menahan marah?

Carilah Hati Yang Sejahtera

Siang malam, manusia bertungkus-lumus memupuk harta tanpa mempedulikan kesucian jiwa. Rumah semakin besar tetapi jiwa semakin sempit. Harta semakin melimpah tetapi hati semakin sakit.

Time will heal the pain

Saya bukan senyuman awak,
Saya bukan kekuatan awak,
Saya bukan kegembiraan awak,
Saya bukan siapa-siapa,
Dan saya tak layak untuk awak.

Andai awak tahu keadaan sebenar diri saya,
yang banyak kekurangan~
Andai awak tahu keadaan sebenar diri saya,
yang sukar untuk berbicara~
Andai awak tahu keadaan sebenar diri saya,
yang perlu menanggung segala kesakitan~
Andai awak tahu segala-galanya,
pastinya awak tersedar~

As i said before, Eventhough we're not connecting or seeing, our islamic brotherhood relationship will still bear in ties cause my prayer will always lead you forever. Silence doesn't mean I'm gone, but you're always be remembered.
-May we always under His shade-

Guitarist

Once you know a little bit about how music is structured and where to find it on the fretboard, you must get those strings vibrating to make music. This, of course, means coordinating both hands. The fretboard hand must be holding the strings down firmly to allow them to vibrate, and the picking hand must attack the strings cleanly also, to prevent unwanted notes from clouding the sound. This may take a little while to achieve, and practice is the only way to get there. Your finger tips will hurt for a little while, as your calluses build up, but soon enough you won't feel any discomfort. Make sure you play at least a little each day to maintain the insensitivity. The only way to become proficient on the guitar is to play as often as you can. The word 'practice' sometimes makes it seem like work, so it's better just to call it 'playing'. The best way to do that is to have your guitar out of its case in full view, either hanging on the wall or sitting on a stand, so that it's easy to pick up any old time you have a few minutes (or hours) to spare. Daily playing, even if it's just a little each day, is the key to keeping those fingers tough and limber.  Million thanks to Raja Nurul Nabila Arif for teaching on how to play guitar.

Sejernih air mata

Senja berlabuh menyirnakan fajar

Menjemput malam menghiasi alam
Purnama mengambang yang bertemankan bintang
Kelam dibaluti kesayuan awan
Diiringi titisan hujan
Seakan mengerti rintihan perasaan

Tatkala irama syahdu berkumandang

Semakin terhiris sebuah kelukaan
Mengenang kesetiaan dan kejujuran
Dibalasi seribu persoalan
Lantaran..
Kepastian disirami kekecewaan
Cinta terkubur bersama impian

Pena menari mengukir lembaran

Menutup tirai cinta yang pudar
Biar luka seribu rindu
Dari merana sepanjang waktu
Tanpa disedari...
Coretan terakhir menyentuh hati
Sejernih air mata membasahi pipi
Mengungkap kemaafan dalam hubungan
Segala kenangan kan tersemat diingatan

Bila Hati Tumpul

Bila hatiku telah tumpul,
lemah longlailah langkahku,
sedangkan hati itu raja tubuh.
Bila baiknya ia, maka baiklah aku.

Kompetensi membina jati diri,
ISLAM membuahkan peribadi suci,
bila hatiku telah tumpul,
adakah segala impi boleh menjadi?

Seperti Prinsip Spring

"Bagai jatuh ditimpa tangga... Mampukah diri mengangkat kembali tangga untuk dakian seterusnya???"

Luahan seorang teman.

Mid Semester Break

Whenever the Chinese New Year falls in January, it creates havoc with my time management. The catchy tune of gong xi gong xi fills the air and crates of mandarin oranges materialise at road side stalls. As usual mid semester break comes after mid term exam. I have very short holidays which is 6 days since my schedule has too much gap. A lil bit jealous 'cause most of my friends returned home early. Okay it's time to speed things up. I have some serious catching up to do within this 6 days. Better compile to-do-list to stay on top of things.

1- Spending my time with my lovely family at Kuantan since 2 month I'm not
returned home. Instead of that, my grand pa and ma also followed
me to see their beloved daughter. Who's their beloved daughter?
    HAHA my mum la.

2- Secondly, Maya had borrowed me her korean movie (Boys over flowers).
I have watched it for second time but my lil sis asked me to bring it
home. There were many episode so I have to spend my time wisely
to watch it within this 6 days. (Habislah power spec naik lepas ni)

3- Finish my story book ( life's like that) which has 306 pages. I bought
it last month unfortunately I dun have much time to read it. HAHA.
So, I want to finish it. Compulsory !

4- Learn how to cook since I'm not at home for a long time. Cewah
macam lama sangat tak balik rumah. See, now I've forgotten on how
to cook even for simply meals. haiyaaa.

5- Eat eat eat and eat sumptuous meal which is prepared by ummi for
every single second. I might chubby after this semester break. LOL

6- As usual, shopping with them to find some stuff like handbag, shoes
blouse. Itu pun kalau berkenan lah.

7- Help ummi trimmed and fertilised plants. After 2 month of
neglect, hopefully there's enough time for the fertilise to induce
glorious blooms of flowers. Must remember not to overdose on
fertilisers or will end up with withered plants.

8- And last prepare some empty pocket to keep ang pow. Abah has
a lot of chinese friends so we might get ang pow. Based on last few
years, one of us got RM50. Thanks uncle Tan Bee Seng and Ah Peng.

My short holidays will be spending with a benefit things. Last word, I hope I'm not argue with my siblings especially my lil sis and for most my mum. If she want to mess up with me, it doesn't matter for me. Okay that's all.

Movie I'll be watch with my lil sis

Books that I want to read and finish within this sem break

It's all about housemates

So it just really hit how much I am going to miss my housemate. After living with them since last December, we have connected on that level where we are like sisters now. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't have done a lot of things that I did here. We pretty much did everything together. I am definitely going to miss them. Before this, I stayed at Desaview Hostel but since semester 2, I moved to Pangsapuri Sri Batu, Kuala Lumpur. U wanna know? Because at Desaview I have to pay RM170 per month. It was very expensive for student okay. Since moved to Pangsapuri, I am paying only RM87.50. Besides affordable, it takes only 10 minutes to go to college. Okay without wasting much time, I would like to introduce to my freaking damn hot housmates.

Okay first, I'd like to introduce this girl. Her name is Raja Nabila Arif and she's from JB. I called her bella or gergirl and she's 19teen. Science comp student in semester 2. She was an athlete long time ago i mean during her secondary school. She love singing and playing guitar. Do u see the guitar on that picture? Yeah she owned it. Kakak2 called her 'Pentipu' because she love to talk talk and talk. In my opinion, I can get with her because she has something which can get through myself and I like that. She annoys me with her blur attitudes sometimes. To gergirl, u're sporting, talkative and nice one. Take care of yourself and your ehem ehem. May your relationship are everlasting. Love u gergirl - xoxo -

Who's this gurl? Okay, she's Atyra, 19 teen, Islamic Contemporary student and  she's from Miri, Sarawak. She also can plays guitar. She's not talkative girl but I considered her as friendly girl. Her face will downcast when she has a problem but once she's happy, she will smiling till her ears. To tyra, always smiles okay. Love u tyra -xoxo-

Her name is Siti Rahmah Halim, 22 years old, Child-hood education student, from Temerloh, Pahang. She's very kind, quite humble happens sometimes only. I have a very very big space inside my stomach and starving all the time eventhough Im not too big so I loved to eat and when I'm hungry, I 'll look for her then she cooked and eat together with me. Besides, I was spoiled by her and I had assumed her as my sister. Love u kakak ima -xoxo-

She is Nur Sahwalina, from Temerloh, 22 years old, taking a course same as kakak Ima, a very small  and cute person. Everybody inside this home called her kak syawa. She loved reading novels, screamed without purpose, quite happens sometimes only and a bored person. Always said ' Hanan, akak boring la, nak buat ape eh?'. She's very cool person and I love u kakak syawa -xoxo-

She's Wan Amira, 20 years old, from Terengganu. Since we moved to new house at level 5, she rarely to be at home and now she lived with her friends. We still considered her as occupant to this house. For me, she's very kind and talkative person (:

She is Halimatus Nadia Abdul Halim but I called her Maya, 19 years old, from Bangi, Business Administration student. A small with a talkative person. She attempts to make eveybody laugh. I used to watch a korean movie using her CD. Thanks a lot. She was my roomate at Desaview and we moved to Sri Batu together. I  know her since the first day I entered college. She got very stuck up face but actually she does not. Huhu don't mad at me. Love you Maya. -xoxo-

And last, the cute one, Nurul Izzati hanni, 19 years old, from Kajang. She's not studying at IIC. Maya and her are one of best friends in this house and they like siblings which no one would separate them. For me, a really kind roomates with load-no-voice. She looks serious but actually she does not. Always treated me as her lil sister, that's her. Love you, hanni -xoxo-

Okay thats all about them. Sometimes you might wonder which one of them that I closed to? But I tell you what, I do not own the answer because let us see here and I put you into a situation. You and your best friend together and I will provide you choices. Would you rather be the one who will be shot or the one who does the shooting? Do you find the answer? No? Same goes with me here.

As long as I can get through them, it does not matter what happens. What I know about B-5-11 HOUSE does not have owned any problem. No controversy, no crippled and no abusive matters. I just love the way they are and hope our friendship last forever.

B-5-11 occupant ;

Nurul Hanan        (Hanan)
Halimatus Nadia  (Maya)
Hanni Izzati        (Hanni)
Sahwalina           (Syawa)
Raja Nabilah       (Bella)
Siti Rahmah        (Ima)
Atyra                 (Tyra)
Amirah               (Mira)
